Our school’s mission is to nurture a collaborative international community of inquirers in a child-centered environment.

At The Giving Tree International School, we are proud to provide a variety of part and full-time programmes for little and growing learners starting from accompanied Baby Playgroups (12 months+) and going up to Primary 6. We are fully authorized by the International Baccalaureate® Organisation to offer the Primary Years Programme (IB-PYP) to our international group of learners here in Phnom Penh.

We recognize the importance of inspiring our Khmer and international students, driving curiosity, and enriching the Phnom Penh community in which they live and thrive. Our international educators embody leadership in the classroom. They have deep expertise in teaching the International Baccalaureate PYP, and are, like our students, constantly learning, growing, and honing their craft.

Our School Curriculum

Why IB-PYP?

The PYP international curriculum framework begins with the premise that students are agents of their own learning and partners in the learning process. It prioritizes people and their relationships to build a strong learning community here in Phnom Penh.
PYP students use their initiative to take responsibility and ownership of their learning.  By learning through inquiry and reflecting on their own learning, PYP students develop knowledge, conceptual understandings, skills and the attributes of the International Baccalaureate Learner profile to make a difference in their own lives, the Phnom Penh community, and in international environments in the future.
