Welcome Letter
Dear Families,
It is my great pleasure to welcome you to The Giving Tree International School’s website! I hope you enjoy learning more about our wonderful community - your child’s home away from home.
The classrooms are alive with curiosity, collaboration, and creativity, and every day we see children growing in confidence, independence, and understanding.
We truly are a family at The Giving Tree, and that spirit of togetherness continues to shine through. From our dedicated founders to our long-serving staff - many of whom have been with us since we first opened our doors 16 years ago - everyone contributes to the nurturing and inspiring atmosphere that defines our school.
We are proud to be a fully accredited International Baccalaureate (IB) World School, delivering the Primary Years Programme (PYP), and from August 2026 the Middle Years Program (MYP). I firmly believe that the IB offers the most balanced and forward-thinking education available today. While our learners achieve the same high standards in English, Mathematics, and Science as those following the British or US curricula, they also develop the independence, creativity, and global awareness that make the IB truly special.
Our approach to learning is inquiry-based, engaging, and hands-on. We encourage children to take an active role in their education by exploring topics that connect to their interests and passions. This learner agency fosters motivation, ownership, and deeper understanding - resulting in stronger academic outcomes and lifelong learning habits.
At The Giving Tree, we value open communication and partnership with our families. My door is always open, and I warmly welcome conversations with parents who wish to discuss the curriculum, their child’s progress, or any aspect of school life. Your feedback helps us continue to grow and improve in all that we do.
Thank you for taking the time to visit our website and learn more about our school. We look forward to another exciting year filled with inquiry, creativity, and connection.
Warm regards,
Mr. Daniel Cullinan
Head of School & PYP Coordinator
